Can I use styling/ heating appliances on my hair extensions?
Yes, your hair extensions can be styled as normal, however, it is recommended not to use the highest hairdryer heat near the MicroRings.

How are Luscious Locks Hair Extensions applied?
They are applied using the MicroRing System, the latest hair friendly method of application.  The MicroRings are light weight aluminium and silicon lined to ensure your natural hair is protected and to prevent slippage.

My scalp gets itchy sometimes with hair extensions in, why?
It is not as easy to clean sections of your scalp and build up of products can cause itchiness.  It is recommended to purchase a scalp cleanser if the problem persists.  Contact me for product recommendations.

Will the hair look even after installed?
Yes, I provide a FREE blending cut to even out hair and make the appearance completely natural.

How do I care for my new hair extensions?
Before washing your hair, brush thoroughly with loop hair brush, (which you receive FREE with your Luscious Locks Hair Extensions).  Once hair is wet, apply shampoo and gently massage your scalp and bonds and work shampoo gently down to the hair ends.  Avoid piling hair on top of head.  Once shampoo is rinsed, apply conditioner or treatment from mid-length down to ends.  Avoid conditioner on the bonds/ micro rings.  You may lightly condition the top T zone.  Rinse conditioner as normal.  If you are experiencing continual dry hair, Luscious Locks can recommend appropriate hair products to assist with the management of your hair extensions.

When styling your hair, gently towel dry in a patting motion.  Be careful not to tangle the hair extensions.  Apply a leave in moisturising and heat protecting treatment from mid-length down to the ends.  Do not brush hair when wet.  When drying hair use fingers until mostly dry and loop hair brush afterwards.  Use hairdryer on middle heat.  Straighten or curl hair as normal, being careful not to use straightener or curling iron too close to the bonds/ MicroRings.  Always use loop hair brush provided.  Hold the hair at base of head and brush from ends upwards. 

As you hair grows, your extensions will move down with the hair growth.  You will need to contact me for maintenance every 6 - 8 weeks so the MicroRings can be moved up and repositioned closer to the scalp, to keep them looking natural.   After 3-4 months the extensions will require complete removal and replacement of the MicroRings and some hair pieces.  You may wish to have your natural hair coloured at this time also, as it is easier when the extensions are out.
